The diversification of railway enterprises,which came out at a special period and from a unique environment,is relatively independent from but also relational to the transportation business,and has been the second important part of the railway economy,making great contribution to the reform and development of the railway.In spite of that the railway diversified enterprises have formed a certain scale and made a certain contribution to railway transportation,the main business of railway enterprises,it still have some evident problems as follows:Firstly,the amount is too large,which led to a weak competitive strength.Secondly,most of the railway diversified enterprises have a poor efficiency and lose much in many ways.Thirdly,little competitive advantage is shown in the fierce competitions.Fourthly,without proper authorizations,the positive of railway diversified enterprises has been adversely affected.Finally,effective exciting methods are required.Facing the fierce competitions in railway market,the change of railway diversified enterprises inner and outer,and the stepping of the railway reform,the railway diversified enterprises meet plenty of difficulties in their developing ways.Z Company is a railway diversified enterprise belonged to China Railway Bureau Zhongyuan Engineering Co.,Ltd.,is one of the specialized enterprises which have the authorization to product signal computer observation system,equipment of dynamic reactive power compensation used in electrical railway power supply system,and rail fasteners.Z Company is a representative of the railway diversified enterprises,as its advantages and disadvantages,its chances and challenges have much in common with most railway diversified enterprises.With the opening up and fierce competition of the railway market,the existing competitive strategies is unable to meet the needs of the development of the company,which forces the competitive strategies to be adjust.Focused on the situation of the competitions that Z Company faces,this thesis analyses the major problems and negative effects in its business management and its advantages and disadvantages by describing the economic situation,the variation of the market competitions and railway policies,and the situation of Z Company itself.This thesis analyses the business environment qualitatively and quantitatively by means of the five-force model,matrix analysis method and SWOT analysis method,establish differentiation strategy as the future competitive strategies of the company.Then,presented the company's competitive strategy is recommended for the control of production costs,enhance product innovation and enhance the company's brand awareness.Finally,the financing guarantee protection of human resources and internal management system to protect the three large company competitive strategy to implement safeguards.This thesis attempts to provide solutions for the management strategy of Z Company,based on the rich firsthand information.The views presented in this thesis can be used by all the railway diversified enterprises when making diversified development strategies,and may be useful to other enterprises when participating in railway management.
