Research On Social Responsibility Of Foreign Trade Enterprises Based On Labor Standards

With economic downturn pressure,shrinking exports needs,more complex and competitive international environment,China export enterprises face internal cost growth,external demand decrease and are also required to implement corporate social responsibility(CSR)in line with international labor standards.In view of economic globalization,we need to attach great importance to the issue of CSR to seek sustainable development.Through analysis of special status of CSR of China’s foreign trade enterprises while the international corporation highly focus on labour standards when conduct the factory inspection,the author analysed the causes of the problems,tried to identify the roots of the issue and made recommendations for improvement with the aim to explore the feasible way of CSR implementation for Chinese foreign trade enterprises.Firstly,this research will introduce the concept about Labor Standards,Corporate Social Responsibility,Human rights audit of factory,and the theories about Stakeholders,Social Dumping.Secondly,this research focused on a case study of YY factory,based on site inspection,describe the current situation and problem when YY factory carries out CSR.And then analyse the problems of YY factory faced during CSR performs,and the key reasons of these problems.To find out the common problem and reasons all the business faced.Research the CSR performs experience from foreign countries.And finally concluded with the recommendations to further strengthen the CSR performs in China’s foreign trade enterprises.Through the above research,it was found that to stand out in global competition and in the view of self survival need,China enterprises always ignore to undertake the CSR.China workers failed to safeguard their rights because of their basic needs.Multinationals merely resort to factory inspection to avoid risk based on their own interests.Government cannot better supervise due to imperfect regulations and economic target burden.Audit institutions always forsake the principles when the reality and standard conflicts.All these factors lead to the strange phenomenon of Chinese specific factory inspection,good original intention but bad result.The author made in-dept analysis of the root of abnormal situation of factory inspection,and recommended government should improve related regulations,strengthen supervision.Encourage the enterprises make all the CSR information more transparency,advocate even bargain,reduce the burden,improve efficiency.In this way the problems of factory inspection,trade barriers,and issues such as social conscience and sustainable development can be solved.And finally,good original intention of CSR,leads to good result.
