As the price of capital,interest rate is one of the most important economic variables in modern financial system.As an important means of regulation of the economy,the national macro-control is also often use interest rates to achieve the purpose of promoting economic growth and stabilizing prices.The development trend of interest rate is market-oriented reform,changes in interest rates will have an important impact on the development of financial instruments,financial institutions,financial markets and even the entire economy.From the point of view of the development process of the world interest rate,the interest rate has experienced a process from regulated by the government to determined by the market.Interest rate marketization in our country started in 1996,June 1,1996,the people's bank of China released the interbank lending rates,marked the official start of interest rate marketization reform in our country,with the reform of the financial system,the interest rate marketization reform has been deepened,today,the control for the lending rate and deposit rate has been canceled,and financial institutions have pricing right in the interest rate.In today's background,deposit and loarn interest rates can be floating in a certain extent,the interest rate as the key variables that affect the performance of commercial bank,its change has a decisive influence on the performance of commercial banks,so the research on the performance of commercial banks cannot without the study of the marketization of interest rate.In the process of market-oriented interest rate reform,to study the effects of interest rate marketization on China's overall listed banks and the different types of listed commercial banks,not only conducive to the listed banks to adapt to the new context of the banking industry's overall operating environment,actively learn from the development experience of the same level of commercial banks,effectively respond to fluctuations in interest rates in the market,moreover,it is of great significance to reduce the friction costs of social capital financing,to improve the efficiency of economic operation,and to reduce the mismatch of financial market resources.This paper selects the panel data of 16 listed commercial banks in China from 2008 to 2015,mainly uses the methods of qualitative analysis,comparative analysis and quantitative analysis.Firstly,this paper analyzes the overall operating performance of sample banks under the condition of interest rate marketization.Then,the data of the listed commercial banks are divided into three types:state-owned banks,joint-stock commercial banks and city commercial banks.Finally,according to the results of the empirical analysis,this paper puts forward some policy suggestions to improve the operating performance of different types of commercial banks in the context of interest rate liberalization and interest rate volatility.The results show that:coefficient of interest rate marketization has a significant positive impact on the overall performance about ROA,and the impact on the ROA of the city commercial banks is greater than that of the four state-owned banks and joint-stock banks.At the same time,coefficient of interest rate marketization has a significant impact on the overall performance about NPL,and the coefficient is negative,R has a significant negative impact on the NPL of city commercial banks,but it has no significant impact on the four state-owned banks and joint-stock banks.The NS has a negative correlation with the ROA of the sample banks,the joint-stock banks and the commercial banks,and has a negative correlation with the NPL of the four state-owned banks and the city commercial banks.However,the results also show that the NS has no significant effect on the ROA of four state-owned banks and NPL of joint-stock banks.
