The economic component of the strategic partnership between Russia and China is becoming ever more tangible,demonstrating unprecedented rates of development of trade and economic cooperation,there is a gradual increase in mutual capital investments,deepening other forms of business ties.Economic relations between Russia and China for a long time passed the thorny path until the XXI century.Economic and political rapprochement between Russia and China contributed to the qualitative development of these two countries,and also the changes that have occurred on the world market.Overcoming a huge number of problems that for many years prevented economic and political ties,the government of the two countries has come to the need to strengthen long-term and productive cooperation.This cooperation was secured by the Treaty on Good-Neighborliness,Friendship and Cooperation between Russia and China,which the states signed in July 2001,and to this day the relationship is being respected on the basis of this treaty.After that,Russia and China adopted a number of laws that promote positive and effective cooperation.On the basis of a mutually beneficial partnership between the Russian Federation and the PRC,global strategic plans lie.To date,China is developing at a rapid pace,this is confirmed: according to international data,China ranks second in GDP and second in terms of gold and foreign exchange reserves.For several years,Russia has been orientating towards the eastern direction,that is,most of foreign policy and foreign economic activity is carried out with the Asian countries,in particular,with China.In 2006,an energy union was concluded between Russia and China,which,of course,only strengthened the partnership of the two countries.The main advantages of the Sino-Russian trade and economic partnership:-Long and effective political relations,and an established mechanism for partnership;-Complementarity in industrial sectors.Russia has huge advantages in energy,heavy industry and high technologies.China has achieved significant results in the engineering,textiles,home appliances and telecommunications industries;-Russia and China have a large market capacity,this feature allows you to increase the turnover of goods,natural resources,technology and Funds;-The effective legislative base of the countries is created.Since 1992,a number of documents have been signed: "Agreement on Trade and Economic Relations","Agreement on the Promotion and Mutual Protection of Investments" and other documents that allow for the consolidation of trade and economic cooperation;-The main spheres of cooperation between the two states are energy,transport,agriculture and forestry.These spheres have not only a personal commercial interest,but also a strategic plan for long-term cooperation between Russia and China.The high level of Russian-Chinese relations achieved by the beginning of this century made it possible to formalize them with the most important document-the Treaty on Good-Neighborliness,Friendship and Cooperation,signed in Moscow on July 16,2001 by the President of the Russian Federation and the Chairman of the PRC.The contract is concluded for 20 years with the possibility of automatic extension for the next five-year periods.In accordance with the Treaty,the parties pledged to develop on a long-term basis the relations of good-neighborliness,friendship,cooperation,equitable trust partnership and strategic cooperation in accordance with the norms of international law,not to use force or threat of force in their relations,respect each other's choice of development path,In questions of protection of state unity and territorial integrity.According to this document,Russia and China are developing mutually beneficial cooperation in trade-economic,military-technical,scientific-technical,energy,transport and other fields,stimulating cross-border and inter-regional cooperation,and promoting cultural exchanges among themselves.They actively cooperate in the fight against terrorism,separatism,extremism,organized crime,drug trafficking and illegal migration.The importance of developing contacts between the legislative,executive and judicial authorities of the two states is also highlighted.The purpose of this research work is to analyze trade and economic relations between Russia and China,to determine their prospects.To achieve this,the following tasks must be solved: To familiarize themselves with the history of trade relations between Russia and China;To study the dynamics and structure of export-import,foreign trade turnover of countries;Identify the investment cooperation between Russia and China;Define the prospects for trade and economic relations;Identify existing problems and prospects for the development of trade and economic relations between countries.This thesis contains an introduction,five chapters,a conclusion,and a list of sources used.The first chapter examines the theoretical foundations of international trade.The second chapter includes an analysis of trade economic relations between Russia and China: historical features of the formation of trade relations between the two countries;Analysis of trade relations,their dynamics and significance for the two countries;Cooperation in the field of energy;Cooperation in the field of investment.In the third chapter,factors that adversely affect the development of trade and economic relations are considered.The fourth chapter examines the measures taken by the parties to improve cooperation,joint government projects and cooperation at the state level.The fifth chapter explores new promising areas for joint cooperation,such as cross-border e-commerce.For
