The ageing of the population is becoming increasingly serious in China currently,and along with the imperfect of the old-age pension system,the gap of old-age pension is widening increasingly.Meanwhile,the trend of ageing will propel the development of pension financial business in commercial banks.China should learn from the U.S.,and improve the current situation of commercial banks’ pension financial business in order to provide custom-tailored asset allocation plan of the pension fund.The paper firstly elaborates the problem of ageing that China is facing,reviews the pension system domestic and overseas,and analyzes the current situation of commercial banks’ pension financial services at home and abroad.Secondly,on the basis of foundation of modern financial planning,the paper uses case analysis method to study the bank customers’ pension asset allocation by analyzing customers’ basic financial situation,risk attributes,pension supply and demand and investment portfolios.At last,using U.S.as a reference and combining China’s practical situation,the writer proposes the development strategy of China’s commercial banks’ pension financial business,including business strategy,service strategy,products strategy,innovation strategy,competition strategy and risk controlling strategy.The innovation of the paper mainly embodies on the following two points: Firstly,based on the foundation of modern financial planning,the paper uses case study method elaborates the process of pension asset allocation of banks’ customers.Secondly,the paper suggests China’s commercial banks should use private banks’ development model as a reference,establish specific service platform of pension financing business,emphasis on strengthening the establishment of family heritage fund service in order to realize the unified management of high-end customers’ financial asset.
