Along with rapid development of the modern social economic and technology, so does the accelerating external competition that was brought to various Enterprise. How to manage the enterprise more effectively and scientifically to ensure continuous growth given the complicated market environment has now proven to be an urgent matter for every Enterprise. Especially for the Real Economy, the competition between the Enterprises has gradually becoming integrated management among which the supply chain management in particular. Furthermore, inventory management is turning into the core as the key element of supply chain management. The level of inventory management shall seriously improve the enterprise market competitiveness.This thesis focuses on the inventory management improvement of W company. Firstly, the present warehouse management situation is analyzed and the primary problems are concluded as follows: Not categorical managing the inventory material which leads to the confusion over the primary and secondary material and jeopardize the management efficiency; Not maintaining reasonable production, planning and tooling which leads to duplicate purchasing and inactive or dead inventory; Not setting up synchronized and efficient information management system, which leads to slow information circulation and low efficiency. Then, the corresponding measures are put forward to handle the known inventory management problems as follows: redefine and classify the material management principles to manage the inventory categorically; refresh inventory management process, raise and execute material planning concept, replace the previous project plan; Introduce the ERP system, combine the current information management resources, establish information sharing platform to speed up the enterprise internal information circulation and also among the supply chain team. By implementing these effective management methods, reorganizing and optimizing the enterprise organization structure, to improve the inventory, capital turnover ratio and lower the risk of inactive inventory, to improve the inventory management level and work efficiency which set an concrete example for the follow-up work.
