With the new pattern of the upgrading of traditional industries and the layout of the emerging industries, the new form of industry, new development paths, new promotion to technology are given more and more attention in various countries around the world. Industrial robots is the depth integration of emerging technology and emerging industries, which has high degree of technology intensive, high degree of personnel intensive, and degree of capital intensive. Industrial robots is one of the important signs to measure the level of science and technology innovation and high-end manufacturing industry, which is an important direction of international science and technology development, and also is one of the pillar industries of China's future industrial development. China's industrial robot industry achieves great success, with the change from the embryonic development to technological exploration, the development of new industries to the national strategic level. So exploration of industrial robot industry development path and model will promote the rapid development of China's traditional industries and emerging industries.This paper based on the development characteristics of global industrial robot industry and the present situation in China. Firstly, put forward the research background and research significance, generalizing the basic theory of industrial development and the development of emerging industries. Then from the aspects of industry and enterprise analysis the environment of China's industrial robot industry. First use empirical analysis to explore the impact factors of China's industrial robot industry development model with the data of 1990-2015, and further use panel data of 103 listed companies to explore the relationship between R&D investment, ownership structure, enterprise scale and enterprise performance.The conclusion is drawn through the analysis, which show that the general demand of industrial robot market and patent technology is more significant and long-term impact on the total output value of China's industrial robot industry, but the supporting industry is not significant. Then combine with the conclusion and the situation of China's industrial robot industry. What's more, R&D investment, ownership structure, corporate size and net profit growth rate is significantly related to the fixed effect model, and the relationship between R&D investment, equity structure and corporate inventory turnover rate is also significant.Finally, the feasibility of the optimization of industrial robot industry development path is proposed to promote the rapid development of China's industrial robot industry.
