Two major application areas of industrial and building of low voltage circuit breaker occupy about 70% of the whole Chinese market. The low voltage circuit breaker product from the French company S has been in a leading position, accounted for nearly 30% of China market. Low voltage circuit breaker is a large-scale collaborative industry, high quality requirements of parts is a major feature of the industry. With the intensification of market competition, the real estate market is sluggish similar with other manufacturing industries, S company also inevitably encountered development bottleneck. In the increasingly severe environment and the rapid growth in the cost, to maintain and enhance the core competitiveness of its products, the supplier's quality management is particularly prominent and important.The paper's foundation is the supplier quality management theory, the research object is S company GBT project of low voltage circuit breaker plastic parts supplier quality management, using 8D problem solving method to find out S company North America existing low-voltage circuit breaker P product recall root cause, and the main root cause for recall is plastic parts supplier quality management issue. It focus on the S company supplier quality management present situation and GBT project faceing problems and challenges, and summarized as follows: 1) The first R & D, manufacturing of plastic molds and parts production in China localization for global project, without any reference and experience; 2) Wthout supplier for complex precision plastic parts production and mold manufacturing; 3) Without plastic part's supplier quality management system and process; 4) Without critical definition standard for plastic parts; 5) no control plans and measures for the long-term effective plastic parts production quality control; 6) Need to take the challenge for Six Sigma requirements(defective rate of million parts <=3.4PPM), and the ultimate goal is zero defect rate, free of recall occurrence.In order to solve the above problems that the GBT project faced and meet the zero defective rate challenges. By learning a lot of theory from China and foreign countries and practical case studies, the research results are as follows: 1) Established a relatively sound of supplier quality management system for GBT project. 2) Using the standard weighted comprehensive scoring method, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method for supplier audit system and performance appraisal system, established the evaluation indexs and criterias. 3) Successfully developed the precision level plastic mold manufacturing and parts production suppliers with the system for GBT project, and get S company experts authorized report, solved GBT project precision level parts suppliers lack problem. 4 Using the failure mode and effect analysis-FMEA, established the critical evaluation standard of plastic parts, and obtained the effective application. 5) The process capability Cp & Cpk as a long-term effective supplier quality management practices and to challenge Six Sigma requirements and the ultimate goal of zero.The GBT project supplier quality management system, process and evaluation method established in this paper have important application value, meanwhile, provided the feasible reference for S company's others projects.
