Study On The Technology Development And Innovation Of China Chengda Engineering Co.,Ltd.

This paper is the achievement of the author's study on the long term technology development and innovation of China Chengda Engineering Co.,Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as Chengda)by SWOT(Strength,Weakness,Opportunity,and Threat)analysis method.First,the paper analyses Chengda's current technology development and innovation management conditions beginning with its production output driven by its own technology patents and know-how,the input and output on the technology development and innovation,the creation and maintenance of the management system for Chengda technology development and innovation as well as the information technology infrastructures and facilities.Chengda was founded in the 1950s and formally known as No.8 Design Institute of the Ministry of Chemical industry.Through decades of hard working,Chengda has grown up into an integrated full-service engineering corporation mainly engaged in the engineering design activities.Chengda has made achievements all over China supported by its strong technical force and excellent equipment.Chengda is a leading company in China with a number of patent and proprietary technologies.Chengda has obtained more than 300 awards of the State,ministry and province level for its achievements.Under the circumstances of the current sophisticated international situation with a lot of changed factors,Chengda is required to adapt to the changing situation,challenge the global economic crisis.Chengda is obligated to fully carry out the requirement for building up the wealthy society and modernization with Chinese specialty.With Chengda top management's leadership,Chengda has launched the research project for study on Chengda's long term technology development and innovation based on the practical conditions,which can guide the management for Chengda's long term technology development and innovation.The author entitled to be the director of the R&D department has the honor to be the project manager with the top management's authorization for execution of the project.With the great support of directors and principal engineers or experts of Chengda functional discipline departments,the project has been successfully carried out through six month study.The philosophy of the study is to promote Chengda's capability of technology development and innovation,drive technology transformation into industry,upgrade the related industry structure and conform to the requirements of "Long Term Guide to National Science and Technology Development(2006-2020)","12th Five Years Plan for National Innovation Capability Construction","12th Five Years Plan for National Science and Technology Development".The study is focus on technology development of Chengda's main business of chemical and petro-chemical industry.Secondly,the paper analyses and specifies the technology development trends of the involved industry by Chengda,and the paper also analyses and specifies the technology development trends of the industries expected by Chengda.The long term technology development of the involved industry and the expected industries are forecasted,the strength and weakness of Chengda's current technology development and innovation management conditions are analyzed.Pursuant to the requirements of "Long Term Guide to National Science and Technology cycle(IGCC),liquefied natural gas(LNG),poly-silicone,energy saving and environment protection.Fourthly,the paper specifies the main tasks for Chengda's technology development and innovation.Chengda should continuously focus on process and engineering technology development and innovation,foundational work(technical guide),information infrastructure and facilities construction during the cu12th five years plan.The paper specifies the main process R&D projects as follows:process research of heat transfer conversion plant for ammonia,double first stage conversion plant for ammonia,process research and critical equipment development of 300000 ton/year ammonia synthesis loop,gasification technology development of coal powder and dry technology development of lignite,process-research and critical equipment development of 1200 ton/d nitric acid and 1500 ton/d ammonium nitrate,process research of ammonium chloride granulation and electrolysis,Domestic production technology research of large scale LNG terminal storage tank and gasification equipment with control system,poly silicone energy saving process technology and critical equipment development,technical scheme study on Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle.Finally,the paper proposes the assurance measures for Chengda's technology development and innovation so as to maintain and develop its core
