With the development of radio systems,communications,aerospace and other fields on the adjustable electromagnetic wave transmission characteristics of materials and devices have a wide range of needs.However,materials with spatial filtering properties such as frequency selective surfaces are generally unable to realize real-time regulation of their electromagnetic properties.Tunable Metamaterial refers to a class of artificial composites that implement active control of electromagnetic properties by loading active controls.The tunable Metamaterial surface achieved by loading varactor has the advantages of light weight,low cost,fast response,and continuous adjustment of electromagnetic characteristics.Therefore,the regulation of the electromagnetic wave transmission characteristics of the tunable Metamaterial surface by loading varactor diode was studied in this paper.The main research is the regulation of the amplitude and phase of the electromagnetic wave through the tunable Metamaterial surface when the capacitance of the varactor is changed.1.The tunable Metamaterial surface with new structure was designed by equivalent circuit theory and equivalent medium theory.The influence of loading varactor on the electromagnetic properties of tunable Metamaterial surface was studied.And we studied the regulation of characteristic.The regulation of the amplitude of fixed frequency electromagnetic wave amplitude in space was realized by tunable Metamaterial surface.2.The other tunable Metamaterial surface was designed to adjust the phase of fixed frequency electromagnetic waves in space.We built the simulation model and studied adjustment law of tunable Metamaterial electromagnetic properties with changing capacitance of varactor.The regulation of the phase of fixed frequency electromagnetic wave in space was realized by the tunable Metamaterial surface.
