Research On Gesture Operation Of Blind Intelligent Terminal Touch Screen

Although there are more and more intelligent terminals with advanced functions,most of the people are still using outdated phones.Because they are more familiar with the layout of mobile phone interface,the touch buttons on the phone also help them to operate the phone.Intelligent terminal with a touch screen has no touch buttons,which need accurate positioning when input information.This bring great inconvenience to the blind,it is easy for them to lose themselves.Intelligent terminal support accessibility through voice input,vibration,voice output feedback,but for the blind,it is still a big challenge to discover the function of the intelligent terminal and input effectively.Although now the intelligent terminal support voice commands,in a noisy environment,it is difficult to distinguish voice commands,so the operation efficiency is low and not accurate.With the continuous development of touch screen technology,intelligent terminal is equipped with sophisticated gesture recognition sensor.Research of intelligent terminal gesture receives more attention,and we believe that the blind can operate the intelligent terminal more efficiently through the gesture.Now,various platforms such as iOS platform,Android platform has realized the gesture operation on the intelligent terminal for the blind.However,gestures on various platforms are different,and some of them are too complicated to learn and remember,which is not convenient for the blind to operate the intelligent terminal.Now there are more companies to pay more attention to the humanistic concern,they want their products to help the lives and learning of the blind.Therefore,it is need to form a gesture operation standard to help the blind to operate the intelligent terminal.Based on the above reasons,this study presents the research on the gesture operation of the touch screen of the intelligent terminal for the blind.The research content mainly includes three points:(1)Determine the basic system gesture demand the blind need,when they use the intelligent terminal,these gestures should be easy to learn and will not increase the burden on the memory of the blind.(2)According to the demand design the standard of gesture operation,develop the interface prototype program based on the standard designed,to bridge the Android system and other applications.(3)Experiment the learnability of the gesture operation standard and the practicability of the interface prototype program,collect data during the experiment,then to revise the standard and improve the interface prototype programDuring the study,learn and draw lessons from the iOS platform,Android platform and Yongde reading software,which represent the application software for the blind.Learn their gestures,according to the design of these gestures,design the standard of system gesture operation for the blind when they operate the intelligent terminal.Operate the intelligent terminal mainly through a simple click,slide screen,shaking,and always provide feedback when the operation is successful.Develop interface prototype program based on the gesture operation standard.Make verification experiment,and allow the users to use the gesture when operate the intelligent terminal through the interface prototype program.According to the results of the experiment,prove the learnability of the gesture operation standard and the usability of the interface prototype program.However,there are still a lot of deficiencies to revise the gesture operation standard and improve the interface prototype program,according to the feedback of the users,then to offer more help to the blind.
