Network coverage control is one of the basic problems in wireless sensor networks,which reflects the performance of wireless sensor networks.In the past,there have been a lot of research on the coverage control in the sensor networks,or a lot of research on the coverage control in heterogeneous sensor networks.There are few studies on the coverage control of heterogeneous sensor networks.In this paper,a new algorithm is proposed for the coverage optimization of heterogeneous sensor networks,and the effectiveness of the algorithm is proved by simulation.At First,the basic theory and research status of wireless sensor networks are summarized briefly in this paper.Secondly,for the problem of coverage overlapping areas and blind spots that nodes deployed randomly in directional heterogeneous networks,this paper introduced a virtual potential field based coverage algorithm for directional heterogeneous networks(PCADH)inspired by the virtual potential field algorithm.Through involving the concepts of overlapping centroid,effective centroid and virtual boundary centroid,this algorithm have optimizations of perform virtual force,node movements and boundary conditions in directional heterogeneous networks based on a directed perception model.This algorithm can make the sensing direction of nodes change,and improvement coverage performance of heterogeneous sensor networks.Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can improve coverage rate rapidly and effectively.Once more,for the problem of coverage in heterogeneous sensor networks with multiple obstacles,this paper introduced a virtual potential field based coverage algorithm to multi-obstacle for directional heterogeneous networks(PCMODH)on the basis of the directional sensing model.Through involving the concepts of overlapping centroid,effective centroid and virtual boundary centroid,this algorithm have optimizations of perform virtual force,node movements,boundary node and obstacle node in directional heterogeneous networks with multiple obstacles.The algorithm optimized the coverage problem in random deployment,and increased coverage in heterogeneous sensor networks with multiple obstacles.Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.At last,Abstract:For the problem of coverage overlapping areas and blind spots that nodes deployed randomly in three-dimensional directional heterogeneous networks,this paper introduced a particle swarm algorithm based coverage optimization algorithm for three-dimensional directional heterogeneous networks(PSOTDH)inspired by particle swarm algorithm.Through involving the concepts of three-dimensional overlapping centroid,three-dimensional effective centroid and three-dimensional boundary centroid,this algorithm have optimizations of three-dimensional overlap region and three-dimensional boundary region in three-dimensional directional heterogeneous networks based on a three-dimensional directed perception model and the particle swarm optimization algorithm.This algorithm can make the sensing direction of nodes change,and improvement coverage performance of three-dimensional directional heterogeneous networks.Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can improve coverage rate effectively.
