With the progress of science and technology,the navigation technology is developed which closely relate to human survival and production.Navigation and positioning technology is widely used in transportation,surveying and mapping,aerospace,aviation and other fields.But they all have some defects,such as the error accumulation of the inertial navigation system,the over reliance of the satellite navigation system on the satellite,and the easy disturbances in radio navigation system.As a result,a new type of polarization navigation sensor is very important in order to improve the modern navigation technology.In order to overcome the disadvantages of polarization sensor such as the poor filtering effect,the obtaining of the linear polarized light is not pure,the polarized light intensity is weak,and so on.In this paper,sky scattered light is studied on the basis of the polarization characteristics,and the polarized light sensitive mechanism of cataglyphis eye is combined.An improved dual-channel polarized light navigation sensor is implemented on the basis of the hardware processing and the software design.The specific research contents are as follows:1.The advantages and disadvantages of navigation technology are analyzed and summarized.The research of polarized light navigation is summarized.The principle of navigation and positioning of cataglyphis using atmospheric polarized light is analyzed.The main scattering phenomena in the sky and the influence of different weather conditions on the sky polarized light are studied.2.The design scheme of the sensor is proposed,which including the polarization detection module,information acquisition and control module,communication module and other modules.Polarized light detection module uses lateral displacement polarization prism,this prism can generate two parallel polarized light by a channel,and reduce the use of optical devices.The miniaturization and low cost of the sensor are realized.According to the optical device of the central wavelength,effective focal length,back focal length and other indicators,we select the appropriate filter,biconvex lens,aperture.We optimize the position of the device in the optical path to ensure that the photodiode receives enough light intensity of the polarized light.It is improved the accuracy of the collected data.The interference of signal transmission is reduced by optimizing board layout to realize signal amplification,A/D conversion and controller integration.3.The software design of the sensor includes initialization of the MCU,signal acquisition and processing,communication.The software program is written by C language,it is designed by using Keil MDK integrated development environment.4.After testing and debugging each module,the overall assembly of the polarized light sensor is completed.The platform of performance testing is built in order to test the sensor on-the-spot.The performance of polarized light sensor is validated,and the testing data and compensate for the deviation is analyzed.The experiment shows that the design of dual-channel polarization sensor structure is reasonable,stable performance and high precision.The needs of further research can be achieved.It has a certain effect on the application of bionic polarized light navigation technology.
