Due to the small angle of view of video image acquisition equipment and the limited scope of observation,it is difficult to obtain complete image information, and video image.mosaic technology can be multi-channel video image data into large field of view wide image or even panoramic images can be resolved The problem. At present, video image stitching technology is widely used in various fields of production and life, among which video surveillance, medical image processing and other related fields are developing rapidly,so it is very important to study multi-channel video splicing technology. In this paper,CCD camera and FPGA,SDRAM,codec chip and other hardware systems for video images for pre-processing,and video images transmitted to the MATLAB machine based on the SIFT algorithm to achieve splicing. In this paper, the combination of hardware and software to achieve two-way video image splicing processing:hardware design is divided into four main parts:acquisition,pre-processing,storage and transmission, using Verilog language to prepare the corresponding module to complete the two video image data Acquisition and extraction of video frame data,to achieve large-capacity video image information storage and video image frame data transmission to the host computer to achieve splicing. The software PC adopts the GUI of the video frame image data acquisition and processing function to realize the acquisition of the video frame image data of the hardware transmission and the feature detection and stitching of the video frame image based on the SIFT algorithm image.
