There are two outstanding problems in Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN),one is the energy consumption problem caused by node's characteristics,and the other one is the time synchronization problem in the process of information transmission.Wireless sensor network MAC layer protocol and time synchronization protocol is the key methods to solve the problem of energy consumption and synchronization accuracy in WSN.The advantages and disadvantages of MAC layer technology are related to the energy balance of wireless sensor networks.The advantages and disadvantages of time synchronization protocol are the prerequisite for WSN to run efficiently.Therefore,this paper focuses on the research of MAC layer protocol and time synchronization technology of wireless sensor networks.First,the paper introduces the concept and research status of MAC layer protocol and time synchronization protocol in wireless sensor networks.It is concluded that the vast majority of energy consumption in wireless sensor networks is in the sending,receiving and listening phases of information.The reason for the low accuracy of the time synchronization protocol is that most protocol don't consider the clock deviation and clock drift.Second,the paper revolves around the MAC layer protocol of wireless sensor network and time synchronization protocol proposes an improved low power wireless sensor networks protocol based On ZigBee(An improved low power wireless sensor networks protocol-based On ZigBee),and an algorithm combined DMTS and TPSN using quartz oscillator frequency deviation compensation(An Algorithm Combined DMTS and TPSN using Quartz Oscillator Frequency Deviation Compensation).AILWSNP(An improved low-power wireless sensor networks protocol based On ZigBee)algorithm is to analyze the MAC layer in the traditional ZigBee network protocol stack is to maintain the communication state,resulting in a large number of node energy loss,so for this problem in its MAC layer the paper added the S-MAC mechanism based on periodic work/sleep method to reduce energy consumption,combined with the DMTS algorithm for clock synchronization.Simulation results show that compared with the traditional MAC layer,the improved algorithm can greatly reduce the energy consumption of overall the network,and has a greater advantage over time.The DTQOFD(An Algorithm Combined DMTS and TPSN using Quartz Oscillator Frequency Deviation Compensation)algorithm proposes an algorithm combined DMTS and TPSN using quartz oscillator frequency deviation compensation converging DMTS and TPSN algorithms for the DMTS algorithm has low time synchronization accuracy and without taking into account the clock drift caused by clock skew.First,the communication path is divided into primary and secondary paths,the TPSN algorithm is used to synchronize on the primary path,the DMTS algorithm is used to synchronize on the secondary path,and the clock deviation caused by the node is compensated in the process of each information transmission to achieve high precision time synchronization.The simulation results show that the DTQOFD algorithm can solve the clock drift caused by the clock deviation,so as to improve the accuracy of time synchronization.
