In this paper,we designed a laser polarization underwater target detection information processing system.The 532nm laser is used as a transmitting source.By controlling the Cyclone V chip as the main processor circuit system to receive real-time underwater target reflection of the laser echo signal and extract the polarization information.And using GPS to get the location information of the detection point.To achieve the laser polarization data and GPS location data synchronization acquiring,processing and storage.Then,collecting and analyzing the data.Providing a new and reliable method for underwater target detection.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part introduces the research background and significance of laser polarization underwater target detection,and introduces the research status at home and abroad;The second part firstly introduces the principle of laser underwater target detection and polarization target detection.Then designed the overall plan of the system,divides the system into five modules:laser generating module,laser polarization information acquiring module,stepping motor module,GPS signal acquiring module and information processing module;The third part introduces the hardware design of information processing module,which is core of the system and used to achieve data collection,processing and storage.The information processing module is composed of FPGA core board and FPGA bottom board,which has the advantages of flexibility,compact structure and low cost.And equipped with a superior performance Cyclone V processor makes the system is simple,high reliability,versatility and greatly reducing the development cycle.The fourth part introduces the system software design and test.Firstly,the system software is divided into AD acquiring software design,GPS signal acquiring software design,stepper motor software design and SD card information storage software design.Then integrating the four modules and debugging.The modular design not only shortens the design cycle,but also improves the reliability and maintainability of the software.Finally,We analyzed the relationship between the polarization characteristics of the target and laser incident angle,detection angle,water temperature,target surface roughness,target material through several experiments.Experiments show that the system can achieve the laser polarization data and GPS position data synchronization acquiring,processing and storage,and meet the design requirements of laser polarization underwater target detection information processing system.
