The stereo microscope,which is also called anatomical microscope,is a kind of common measuring and observation instruments.Stereo microscopes are widely applied in all works of life because they can reflect three-dimensional information of the samples directly.There are two kinds of stereo microscopes currently,traditional stereo microscopes and new stereo microscopes.Traditional stereo microscopes can realize stereo imaging with dual optical pathways.The principle of traditional stereo microscopes is simple relatively,but the stereo results are not perfect.New stereo microscopes based SLM is expensive and the dispersion effect of the SLM has bad impacts on color stereo imaging.In addition,the samples can not be observed directly.The fixed depth of focus and stereo angles are main problems which can not be solved.The paper puts forward the transmission stereo microscopic imaging system based on programmable LED illumination,which can realize stereo imaging.The optical system is designed and built by using the programmable LED as dual illumination light source innovatively.The depth of focus and the stereotype angle can be adjusted by changing r and d of the programmable LED array at will.The hardware circuit has been designed,PCB board has been drawn,the programmable LED is driven which can control the dual illumination light source precisely.The software system is designed and developed to make the entire system humanized.And the entire platform of system has been built.Finally,the experiments are carried out by different object lens and samples.And the results are analyzed in details and the improved methods are proposed.The results of experiment show that the microscope system is simple,and double images which can not be coincided owning to the difference of individual pupil distance can be solved effectively by choosing appropriate r and d.The three-dimensional information of the samples can be obtained in details directly by wearing red and blue stereo glasses.
