In recent years, along with the rapid development of information technology also led to the rapid development of the medical industry. With informatization of the medical industry, the medical data also presents the geometric multiples of growth. As medical data accounted for the largest medical image data, along with the further upgrading of imaging and imaging equipment and upgrades, there are many problems of medical image data format and complex, digital transmission and information the difficulty of share, and as the amount of data accumulate over a long period. Traditional PACS system needs to have new technology to solve the problem of management of medical images of large data. Most of domestic hospitals for medical image storage model are still the traditional ways that NAS, DAS and SAN. But there are many insufficient about hardware equipment, high cost, low performance and ability and the limit of availability, and in the trend of the development of cloud computing, the medical image information is difficult to realize regional and even the hospital internal sharing currently. The optimization of medical image storage methods at home and abroad mostly use hadoop and HDFS, however HDFS does not apply to the size of medical image file format is small, also need to trouble the optimization of the work to solve the problem.Therefore, based on combination of the cloud computing technology, the cache technology and distributed file system, in view of the massive medical image storage and access of the existing problems and the research status at home and abroad, a thorough research on medical image and performance optimization. The main research contents of this paper include the following aspects:(1) design and implementation of new medical imaging cloud storage architecture, designed the "local- cloud" two level storage mode;(2) build Proxmox VE virtual resources and environment, and connecting with the emerging Docker container technology, realize the medical image cloud storage services;(3) according to the proposed two level storage mode, integration of open-source update. These open source softs are GNU Health, Orthanc, Fast DFS, medical imaging provides a large-scale distributed storage architecture;(4) aiming at two levels of storage patterns of cloud Fast DFS storage, was proposed the optimization of medical images storage which base on Redis, further improve the cache hit ratio and access rate of medical image.
