Realistic graphics has been one of the most challenging and forefront research directions in computer graphics. For computer graphics researchers, how to effectively simplify the model to simulate wind, snow, cloud, rain, flower, grass, trees, and other natural phenomena becomes a key issue. Among these irregular objects, to simulate the trees is the most difficult. Because in the modeling of trees, a tree has many leaves, and the bump bark model is extremely complex, if these factors are reactions to the program's code, it will cause severe swelling of the amount of data, to spend a long rendering time. But the human eye to receive the amount of information is very limited, so a tree as a whole modeling, some of its minutiae is not necessary to conduct a detailed simulation. Especially in the animation, these details is no need to show up even more. On the contrary, the movement of the tree process becomes more important.First, the article describes the background of this subject, a detailed description of domestic and foreign trees analog Research, analyze and summarize the latest research results on the basis of the technical ideas of this paper, the system simulated trees based on fractal theory.Secondly, introduce variety methods of the current tree modeling, including the method based on fractal iteration theory, grammatical rules-based approach, texture-based method based on particle system method. After we details fractal iteration theory and the method of based on the rules of grammar. Tree modeling method based on the L system-the triangle mesh simulation algorithm for the trees of the three-dimensional modeling of realistic and real-time key issues, combined with its advantages and disadvantages of proposed based on improved static trees of the polygon mesh of the L system simulation algorithm. We propose a method that is real-time visualization of animated trees in the wind. Compared with other previous studies, our work is to develop a physical model of real movement by the trees swaying animation. We describe the method is consistent with nature scene that branches move in the wind. Then, we describe a simple animation of trees swaying, in the local graphics processor. Finally, based on the Windows XP operating system, Visual C++6.0integrated development environment and OpenGL open graphics library on person computer, a fire simulation demonstration based on particle system is generated which not only meets the visual effect, but achieves real-time required flame image.
