Parent-child reading is an important way to improve children's reading quality.To cultivate students' reading literacy requires support of their parents.To explore the factors that affect pupils' reading accomplishment,This study uses a fourth-grade primary school students in Shanghai as the research object,then researches the situation of Parent-child reading and the quality of reading literacy with the integrated use of literature research,questionnaire survey,case analysis.The full text is divided into the following sections:The first chapter is the introduction,including the reason of the topic,the content of the research,the literature review,and the research objects,ideas and methods.The second chapter:concept definition and theoretical basis.This part introduces the conception of two key words:parent-child reading,reading literacy.And discusses the theoretical basis of this article.The third chapter introduces the current situation of parent-child reading of a fourth-grade primary school students by a questionnaire,introduces the test of reading literacy in PIRLS 2016 and analyzes the test results,Then I analyze the correlation between students' reading literacy and parent-child reading through the SPSS software.By the SPSS software,family environment,parent-child reading habits and parent-child reading guidance are related to pupils reading literacy.In the fourth chapter,I put forward some suggestions on how to train pupils' good reading accomplishment through parent-child reading: reading interest laying the foundation for reading literacy,reading habits paving the way for reading literacy,reading guidance pointing the way for reading literacy,and reading reviews shapeing reading literacy.The fifth chapter is the lack of research and prospect of this article.The sample size of this study is too small.In addition to family factors,there are other uncontrollable factors that affect the reading literacy level of primary school students.Follow-up research can explore educational methods with the help of statistics,psychology and other disciplines.The study of parent-child reading also needs a unified mechanism of family,school and society.In addition,it should learn from advanced foreign educational experience.
