The State Council on the reform and development of China’s decision states that,“development of student’s ability of proposing figuring and solving problems should be paid attention to.” Mathematical application problems are linked to real life,so that students can experience the function of solving practical problems,strengthen the relationship between mathematics,daily life and other subjects,and promote the gradual awareness of practical ability of the formation and development of students mathematical application.The preparatory grade is the transition stage from primary school to junior high school,so the formation and strength of mathematical ability directly affect the follow-up study of all subjects in junior high school.What’s more,fractional applied study is the initial stage of problem solving for preparatory grade students.Therefore,it is necessary for us to understand the student’s ability to solve problems in the score application.it can provide teachers with first-hand information on teaching.the study aims at further research on the general situation of students’ ability and obstacles in fraction applied problems,and try to find a number of measures to overcome obstacles.This paper defines the concepts of mathematical application problems and problem solving,It also summarizes the related literature on mathematical application problem solving obstacles application problem solving strategies,it analyzes the problem solving stage and constructivism theoretically.and forms the theoretical basis for this study.Based on a deep understanding of the “new curriculum”,this paper adopts the method of questionnaire,interview,test method,conducted a survey on the ability to solve mathematical application problems among junior middle school students.This investigation shows that the overall level of students’ ability is not high,the specific performance:(1)The students are afraid of the Fractional application questions,Students’ initiative in learning mathematics applications is not enough.(2)The basic knowledge of mathematics is not solid,the data structure of the application questions is complex,and students cannot understand the structure of the topic.(3)Students’ experience in life is insufficient,they do not understand the terms of life,for example,students don’t do anything new in life.(4)Students’ computational power needs to be improved.Although student understand the questions and list the correct formula,but the calculation is wrong.(5)The students do not classify the application questions and do not establish the related models.In view of the influencing factors of students’ learning mathematical problems,I put forward the corresponding teaching strategies:(1)Improve students’ interest and dilute the sense of difficulty.(2)Broaden life knowledge and stimulate students’ interest.(3)Strengthen the calculation ability and standardize the writing format.(4)Strengthen the basic knowledge and pay attention to the concept of teaching.(5)Eliminate thinking patterns,and pay attention to Mode Classification.The deficiency of this study: Because the author is still a student,the practical experience is insufficient,and the objective conditions are not allowed,so the author fails to put the proposed teaching countermeasures into practice,which is a deficiency of this paper.On the other hand,the author’s research level and theoretical depth are limited.The lack of psychological knowledge leads to a lack of theoretical depth in this paper.
