Students' school adjustment situation not only affects individual's health of body and development of mind during the period of study in school,but also to the development of the individual life play an immeasurable role.Through literature analysis it is concluded that self-monitoring and boredom has a close relationship;The self-monitoring as a personality trait has a important influence on Boredom Proneness at school adjustment?This study explores the self-monitoring as a personality traits,Boredom Proneness,and school adjustment,and the relationship between them.The study use 680 junior high school students as subjects,On the basis of explain self-monitoring,Boredom Proneness and the meaning of school adjustment's structure,influence factors,research status,Use the "self-monitoring scale"," Boredom Proneness scale" and "junior high school adjustment scale",In the form of a questionnaire survey,Measured their self-monitoring type,Boredom Proneness and the level of school adjustment.This Study was mean to explore the junior middle school students self-monitoring and Boredom Proneness,and the relationship between them,And further explore the mediating role of Boredom Proneness.The results showed:(1)Middle school adjustment,self-monitoring was significant difference in grade,generally is on the rise;The significant difference was on the Boredom Proneness with junior high school students in different grade,on a declining curve;self-monitoring,the junior high school adjustment and Boredom Proneness' differences in gender are not significant.(2)The junior middle school students' self-monitoring and Boredom Proneness shows significant positive correlation,and was significant negative correlation with school adjustment;The dimensions of the self-monitoring:self-orientation monitoring,others orientation monitoring and school adjustment show significant negative correlation,and Boredom Proneness significant positive correlation;High self-monitoring and schools adjustment shows significant positive correlation,and significant negative correlation with Boredom Proneness;Boredom Proneness with school adjustment in each model were significant negative correlation.(3)The three dimensions of self-monitoring and the overall direct impact on school adjustment,through Boredom Proneness indirectly affect school adjustment;Boredom Proneness in self monitoring on the whole and each dimension and the partial intermediary role between school adjustment.Conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)From grade seven to nine,junior high school students' school adjustment are rising significantly,as same as the high self-monitoring,Boredom Proneness of junior high school students gradually reduced.(2)Self-monitoring and Boredom Proneness directly affect the level of school adjustment,self-monitoring directly affect the Boredom Proneness.(3)Self-monitoring indirectly through Boredom Proneness partly influences school adaptation level.
