In recent years, more and more attention has been paid to the educational value of physics model in Physics Teaching in middle school. The research on the cultivation of high school students' ability to set up the model and use the model to solve the problem has attracted the attention of the academic circles. In this paper, through the induction, sorting out the relevant literature, combing the physical model and physical exercises to solve the related research status, and the relationship between the two are explored. On this basis, taking the content of high school physics dynamics as an example, the author uses the method of test and interview to study the students of grade one and grade two.The study found that the senior high school students' familiarity with physical exercises affected their ability to use physical models. When the problem situation of senior high school students are familiar with, most of them realize modeling by way of analogy; and when the situation is unfamiliar, their ability of modeling is poor, mainly to grasp the applicable conditions of the physical model is not accurate enough, the lack of standardized modeling process, modeling thinking is not rigorous. Based on the analysis of the causes of the phenomenon, and puts forward some suggestions for the physical model teaching and Physics Teaching: emphasis on the process of establishing a typical physical model teaching method, prominent modeling;similarity model classification and distinguish the attention in the exercises teaching, deepen understanding and summary of the physical model; appropriately introduce the original physical problems of to physical exercises, helping to break the inertia of thinking.
