The basic education curriculum reform has already been launched in a nationwide scale,which not only adjusts the curriculum system, but also promotes the revolutionary changes about education thoughts.The new curriculum reform proposes many new education ideas. As to learning approaches, it requires autonomy,exploration and cooperation, which causes great changes to classroom teaching in senior high schools. Under this circumstance, students' conception of mathematics study also undertakes great changes.This research takes students from senior high school students in Nanjing as the objects of study and uses the self-made "Mathematics Study Conception Meter for Senior High Students" to conduct the research on the conception of mathematics study of the Grade-Two senior high school students, for the purpose of investigating the conceptions of mathematics study held by senior high school students and discussing the current situation of senior high school students' conceptions of mathematics study and also the differences of math-learning conceptions between senior high school students of different grades, curricula-variable. The goal is to cause the school,the society and the parents to attach importance to the conception of mathematics study ,to lead the teachers to reflect upon their own mathematics teaching and to provide some references for mathematics-teaching reform in senior high school.This meter divides into four dimensions: the attitude towards mathematics study,conception of the nature of mathematics knowledge, conception of the process of mathematics study and conception of the experience of mathematics study.After examining, this meter has proved to possess good validity and reliability and is qualified to be the research instrument of this paper, and then get the conclusions:1.The conception of mathematics study of the senior high school students tend to be structuralist.Conception of the process of mathematics study and conception of the experience of mathematics study of senior high school students are simple and need further improvement and development,but the development status of attitude towards mathematics study and conception of the nature of mathematics knowledge of senior high school students is good.2.Differences grades exert little influence upon conception of mathematics study,but exert great influence upon conception of the process of mahematics study and conception of the experience of mathematics study.As the grade rises, students'conception of the process of mathematics study and conception of the experience of mathematics study show a downward trend.3.There are great differences between students of liberal arts and students of science on the conceptions of mathematics study,especially on the attitude towards mathematics study and conception of the experience of mathematics study.4.Mathematical achievements exert great influence upon conception of mathematics study of senior high school students.Students who have the higher mathematical achievements also tend to be structuralist.5.Different conception of mathematics study exert great influence upon mathematical achievements.Relatively.students who have the better conception of mathematics study will have higher mathematical achievements.According to regression analysis,the attitude towards mathematics study and conception of the process of mathematics study can predict students' mathematical achievements effectively.Based upon the results above, teachers should pay attention to the conceptions of mathematics study,cultivate students' conceptions of mathematics study actively in the course of teaching,enhance communication between teachers and students,lessen students' pressure properly and enable students to have fun in math learning.
