In the society surrounded by visual culture,art is considered to be so true to our daily life.What's more,contemporary art is also more and more close to our lives,which reflect our lives in every aspect.Instead of ignoring it,learn to appreciate,understand contemporary art is one of the important content of modern art education.However,the present art education make more schools lay their key point in teaching classic,historical works,rarely involved in today's art forms,especially in the primary school.The School art teaching is an important education project to improve students' aesthetic temperament,cultivate students' comprehensive quality,and promote their comprehensive development.To better achieve the purpose and the task of art teaching,establishing a sound,diversified,systematic art curriculum system is an essential way.Therefore,Diversified curriculums are more requisite for primary art teaching which is fundamental in education system.As an educator,we should consider everything from student's view,try to have a better understanding of students and their characteristics.Finally we continuously make teaching methods and contents better,bring innovative thinking and art forms into class,and form a hieratical and systematical contemporary art curriculum.For different age students,we create contemporary art teaching system and cultivate students' art literacy,so that students can understand the relation between traditional culture and contemporary art.More importantly,students learn from their predecessors,and go deeply in daily life,observing,experiencing.By making use of various materials and methods,they create their own art form and new culture,finally playing an active role in booming modern art.This study consists of five parts:The first chapter divides into two sections.First of all,the study put forward the definition of modern art.From one hand,the definition of modern art agrees with opinion proposed by Jiang Qigu on the feature of modern art.Modern art lays emphasis on historical and social problems in the development modern art.By studying various material and methods,modern art has a deeply reflect on living condition of human being.On the other hand,modern art can be defined from different times.The second section theoretically discusses the importance of modern art in primary school teaching.The author has a systematical explanation on the influence of modern art on students.Then the author encourage students observe and try to makeuse of various materials,so that they can improve their innovative capability and express themselves through art.The second chapter is the study and research on modern art.At the beginning,it investigates the current situation of the modern art teaching in primary school,involves in its excellent curriculum;And then it surveys,analyzes the practice of modern art teaching in primary school.Next,author talks with teachers and students in order to master their attitude about modern art.Focusing on the problems reflected from questionnaire,and then author tries to find a solution.Chapter three and chapter four are the key parts of the paper.The chapter three has three sections: firstly it introduces unit teaching and its advantage;Secondly,it points out the direction of modern art teaching: try to put forward the theme,carry out modern art unit teaching,cultivate a real teaching situation,stress the importance of experience and advocate autonomous learning,cooperative learning and explorative learning;thirdly,it declares theories and practice of autonomous learning,cooperative learning and explorative learning.In the chapter four,author chooses outstanding curriculums and puts forward the three principles of good resources: the principle of adaptability,the principle of goal oriented,the principle of priority,and then selects available resources by looking to these three principles for inspiration.Then author puts forward teaching objectives with three levels: "experience and try" "moulding and expression" "understanding and creation".Then author works out a series of curriculum designs,teaching content and teaching methods under the guidance of teaching objectives.In chapter four,the author tries to test the hypothesis: the content and form of contemporary art are readily adopted by students and students have great interests in learning modern art.In primary schools,especially lower grades students can learn and appreciate the contemporary art,and have a basic perception and understanding of contemporary art.Through observing daily life,students can grasp materials and methods about how contemporary art is created,and they can use describe phenomenon of daily life with basic art language.
