Education for the ethnic minorities in Xinjiang Province has always been an important subject and concern for People's Republic of China.The establishment of Xinjiang Mainland High School Class(referred to as High Class)has allowed minority students to have access to better education in mainland China.This system consists of four years of high school education including one year of preparatory course.Since 2005,Shandong Qingdao L Middle School has trained a group of highly educated and skilled minority professionals.These professionals has played significant role in improving education for the minority groups in Xinjiang Province.However,they now face new challenges and problems due to recent rapid increase in numbers of applicants.And the differentiation of math learning usually appears in the preparatory stage.Meanwhile,the fresh students who are not good at math are all from this stage,so in the preparatory stage,it is necessary for the teachers to make the greatest efforts to improve the high-class students' level.The purpose of this report is to reform and improve the current education system to better national and international standards for the preparatory students.Let the students master the skills through the mathematical problem set to make the students think in good order,think continuously,think deeply,at same time,help the students comprehend the nature of knowledge to develop the core of mathematics literacy.This new system aims at the students in preparatory stage from Shandong Qingdao L Middle School(2015 and grade 2016 students)to research and interview their learning habits,thinking characteristics,problem consciousness and learning difficulties by using appropriate methods.After analysis and summary,to deal with all the problems they have,the author put forward the math problem set and guidance learning.According to the conclusion from survey and the interview,the author combined the specific practice with her teaching,put forward the design principles and teaching strategies for students with mathematical problems of group guidance,and performedthe guidance for problem set which appear in the initial stage of preparatory classes by combining the cognitive characteristics of students with preparatory course.We have to put forward to pay attention to the effectiveness,continuity,level,openness,interest and so on.The main methods to carry out the new system are: teaching by learning,emphasizing on research learning condition before problem set;meticulous design,paying attention to scientific and efficient problems;focusing on student-centered in the learning activities;rethinking constantly.Based on it,in combination with abundant teaching practice,the author explored the wide use of the new system in concepts,formulas and examples to show the positive impact she used in her teaching.This study is beneficial to deepening the guidance of problem set as well as the development of the core of literacy in mathematics.What's more,it also plays a positive role in promoting theoretical research on math teaching,which provides the reference for the other schools.
