As an important subject of the basic education teaching reform, the modernization of education has attracted the attention of the global education. The modernization of teaching content is not only required clearly in the physics subject standard of the regular high school, but also the territory where the front-line teachers can do practical reaches. This paper focuses on the study of the electromagnetism part in physics subject of high school where the modernization of content is shown in the teaching. On the basis of studying many documents, the author makes a theoretical probe into the modernization of content in physics teaching of high school, thus makes its connotation clear. The author did a survey on the current situation of implementation of modernization of content in physics teaching on the teachers and students of author's school and analyzed the reasons why it is not completely implemented. On the other hand, this paper makes a statistic analysis on the modernization of content in physics paper of the college entrance examination of Jiangsu province, thus emphasizes the urgency and guidance of modernization in physics teaching.Furthermore, while making resources construction of modernization of content on the electromagnetism, this essay discusses the four principles of modernization of content in teaching, and also studies teaching approaches and implementation proposals, thus has carried on preliminary teaching practice and has forms some teaching cases.
