Cooperative learning is one of the most influential and effective areas in the theory and practice research of contemporary education . It has a significant effect on the students’ subjectivity and non-cognitive quality.However,the phenomenon of marginalization in cooperative learning has seriously hampered the effect of cooperative learning,and the phenomenon has not yet been paid attention by educators.On the basis of the existing research, this paper investigates the current situation of the marginal man in cooperative learning to explore the cause of the marginal man by literature researching,the class observation and interview,and puts forward the transformation strategy of the marginal man.The student questionnaire contains five pieces of content, the first one for the investigation of the basic information of students,the second used to investigate students’ awareness and attitude of biology and cooperative learning. The third is used to distinguish marginal man.The fourth is used to investigate the participation of students in cooperative learning.The fifth is to explore the effect of cooperative learning cm the formation of marginal man.The study take Senior Grade One students as research target, and using Spss and Excel for data analysis.Data analysis shows that the ratio of marginal man in biological cooperation learning is 60%,and that of girls is higher than that of boys. The formation of marginal man is influenced by internal and external factors.Internal factors include: student’s personality traits,biological achievements, interest in biology and cooperative learning,recognition of cooperative learning and self-identity.External factors include:the growth background and the way in which cooperative learning is conducted.The results of classroom observation and interviews verify the reliability of the questionnaire results.The interview results also show that the marginal man is convertible.Through establishing a good relationship between teachers and students,improving the way in which cooperation is guided,ti.aining students’ability of cooperative learning,and selecting reasonable cooperative learning content,giving enough time for students before the cooperative leaniing,reasonable grouping and division,paying attention to students5 performance and the disadvantaged students,improving the cooperative learning evaluation mechanism and helping students enhance self-identity,teachers can achieve the transformation of marginal man.The innovation of this research is to focus on the phenomenon of marginal man in biology cooperative leaming,and to investigate the teachers and students in the form of questionnaires.Besides,this research tries to put forward the transformation strategy.However,the analysis of the marginal man phenomenon in cooperative learning is still not comprehensive. In addition,this study only put forward the transformation strategy,but did not carry out practical research,therefore,the effectiveness of these strategies need further practice testing.
