A Study On The Population And Economic Effects Of The Rapid Expansion Of Urban Construction Land In Shandong Province

Reviewing the development of rapid urbanization during the last two decades in China,the contradiction between the shortage of land supply and the high demand for urbanization has been sharp.Governments and experts have reached a consensus that land urbanization is faster than population urbanization.However,this is just a superficial phenomenon from the perspective of urban system and we should analyze its differences from the structural level.Taking the population and economy province-Shandong province as an example,this paper tries to explore the evolution characteristics of the population and economic effect of Shandong Province under the background of rapid expansion of urban construction land,and then puts forward the reasonable optimization strategy based on rapid urbanization.Based on the analysis of a large number of documents and small scale case analysis,this paper analyzes the time characteristics and spatial trajectory changes of urban construction land expansion in Shandong province.First,the definition of "multi space and cross scale" urban land expansion.Then,the positive and negative effects of population concentration and economic growth are analyzed.It is found that there are structural differences in the population and economic effects of urban construction land expansion in Shandong Province.(1)Population-effecting:From the perspective of spatial,land urbanization is faster than population urbanization in the whole province,and population performance of urban land is higher in northwest of Shandong,southwest of Shandong and peninsula area.The central and coastal areas become lower;From the perspective of land use structure,Population performance of urban land is higher in the residential land,industrial land and green land,and the storage land is lower;From the perspective of city scale structure,the city with a population of less than 200,000,the urban population performance is the highest while the city with a population of200,000-500,000 is lowest.The city with a population beyond 500,000 shows decreasing trend.(2)Economic-effecting:From the perspective of spatial,the city of Shandong province economic growth and land expansion in a state of health of the period the number of central and coastal areas of high economic effects,the surrounding lower boundary;From the perspective of land use structure,economic performance of urban land is higher in the residential land,industrial land,and the economic effect of green land and storage land is low;From the perspective of city scale structure,the city witha population of more than 500,000,the economic performance is the lowest while the city with a population of 200,000-500,000 is highest.The city with a population beyond 200,000 shows decreasing trend.Based on the rapid urbanization,this paper puts forward the optimization strategy of the coordinated development of urban construction land population economy in Shandong Province.Mainly include:(1)Local conditions of the government's macro-control;(2)Increase population carrying capacity;(3)Promote the integration of city;(4)Focus on urban ecological civilization.
