Mathematics anxiety is a kind of negative academic emotion.Excessive mathematics anxiety will affect students’ self-cognitive process,and then adversely affect students’ mathematics learning.At present,the researches of relevant domestic and foreign scholars mainly focus on the current situation investigation and cause analysis of mathematics anxiety of middle and high school students,and they rarely mention the countermeasures and implementation methods of easing the state of mathematics anxiety.For pre-middle school students,they can be influenced by their own mental development,interpersonal communication,the change of the environment and the deepening of mathematics content,showing obvious state of mathematics anxiety and affecting the mathematics learning of pre-middle school students.Aiming at this situation,the author conducts research on the current situation of mathematics anxiety of pre-middle school students,analyzes the reasons and proposes strategies.In order to understand the current situation of mathematics anxiety of pre-middle school students,this study takes the theory of learning motivation and the psychology of mathematics education as the theoretical guidance,combines the psychological characteristics and the living conditions of the pre-middle school students and formulates mathematics anxiety scale for pre-middle school students.The author conducts questionnaire investigation on a total of 178 pre-middle school students in two nine-year education schools located in Baoshan District of Shanghai.On the basis of determining that there is no significant difference of mathematics anxiety between the students of the two schools,the author analyzes the present situation of mathematics anxiety of pre-middle school students in the current stage,formulates the interview outline with the corresponding results,and analyzes the interview record to put forward the coping strategies to alleviate the students’ mathematics anxiety.Specific research is as follows:1.Investigation on the current situation of mathematics anxiety.Mathematics anxiety of pre-middle school students is generally on the level of above-average;There are no significant differences of mathematics anxiety between the students of the two selected schools;Under the overall level,there are significant gender differences of mathematics anxiety among pre-middle school students,and the girls’ mathematics anxiety level is higher than that of boys;Under different dimensions,the degree of mathematics test anxiety is higher than that of mathematics learning anxiety and mathematical problems solving anxiety;For pre-middle school students,mathematics anxiety is negatively correlated with the mathematics score,that is,the higher the anxiety level is,the lower the math score is.2.Cause analysis of mathematics anxiety.The reasons that cause the mathematics anxiety of pre-middle school students can be generally divided into three aspects: the first is personal factors,including psychological factor,intellectual factor and other factors;the second is environmental factors,including class environment and family environment;the third is the characteristics of the discipline itself.3.Coping strategies of mathematics anxiety.This study implements strategies and eases the mathematics anxiety of pre-middle school students from three dimensions,including learning anxiety,problem solving anxiety and text anxiety.And the paper regards student level,school level and family level as the entry points respectively.
