With the development of society,the education has taken place great changes.Since the 60 s of last century,the teaching methods of America has being practiced and explored.The teaching method of "role playing" is gradually introduced into the classroom by the researchers and this kind of teaching method adapts to the social development trend.The research on the teaching method of "role play" in the history course of American middle school is not only of great significance to the practice of history teaching,but also plays a very important role in the theory of "role playing".The innovation of this paper is mainly reflected in two aspects.First of all,based on the various definitions of "role playing",the paper gives a broader concept that "role playing" as a technical term,and it describes the participants a series of activities similar behavior in simulated situations in a controlled situation,to the construction of "real life" event or experience in a way.Secondly,through the research of three representative of the American middle school history lesson role-playing teaching case,we can conclude that their open,comprehensive and technical features.Especially the case two and case three,use blogs and 3D virtual world history class advantage,given to the characteristics of the new era.This paper consists of four parts:The introduction part mainly explains the research history of "American middle school role-playing teaching method and significance,research content and related research achievements at home and abroad,also expounding the main research contents and methods,putting forward the innovation of this paper.The second part is an overview of the history of American high school class role play teaching method.This part expounds the definition and development course of role-playing and introduces the theoretical basis of " role play " mode.It also introduces the success of the " four basic elements of role play " in the history classroom.The third part is the main part of this article.The three role-playing teaching practice case of American middle school history class are inquiried.This part reflects on its advantages and disadvantages,summing up the " American middle school history lesson role play " three characteristics of teaching methods according to the case.The fourth part is about the Enlightenment of the "role play" teaching method in American middle school history class and questions which worth pondering.You know,every kind of teaching mode has its advantages and disadvantages.We should treat it dialectically.In the process of teaching,we should pay attention to students' participation,teachers' guidance,teachers and students' role transformation,so as to enrich the teaching of history.
