Athlete students system has carried out for a long time in our country.Every year a batch of athlete students from the amateur sports school are selected as second line athletes.Some of them will enter the provincial and municipal training team,and even the national teams.Athlete students are more active,thus they easily feel bored with stylized contents in study.Compared with ordinary students,they lack patience and ability in learning progress.Even their basic knowledge is weaker,as well as learning motivation,interests and confidence.It is not a good idea to lower learning requirements for athlete students.Firstly,in order to enter the second line,athlete students need to participate in a unified examination,which requires a certain degree of their knowledge.Secondly,athlete students in amateur sports school and ordinary students study together and take the same examinations,as our disctrict does,will influence each other.If we lower standards,athlete students may be less likely to graduate.Thirdly,not many of the athlete students in amateur sports school can enter higher level training team so that most of them participate in the same graduation exam together with ordinary students.However,the difficulty of the test won't be lower because of their sports ability.Therefore,the learning requirements of the athlete students can not be put down.So teachers should spend more time in teaching strategies.Among all the subjects,Chinese is comparatively more attractive to athlete students.The students are more likely to improve their learning interest,learning efficiency,and ultimately improve their academic performance.Based on the analysis of athlete students' personalities,learning difficulties,family background,school and other reasons,accompanying with the encountered problems in teaching practice,this thesis focuses on improving students' interest in learning,exploring suitable reading and writing strategies for athlete students.In the reading teaching,combined with the characteristics of athlete students,teaching content are related to sports in order to carry out interesting and diverse teaching activities.Reducing teaching difficulties to some extent according to standard course curriculum and increasing the teaching time to deliver knowledge are two methods of trying.In the teaching of writing,making personalized writing content and evaluation criteria for athlete students,using oral expression to help finish writing tasks,focusing on practicality to cultivate their interests in writing;let athlete students play their own characteristics,accumulate writing materials,and encourage them to write.
