Western percussion instruments are an indispensable element in primary school music class and one of the important parts of the school band.Learning the Western percussion instruments,for the cultivation of students with the coordination of hands and feet,as well as to improve students’ rhythm of the rhythm of music,students to appreciate the ability of Western music is of great significance.This paper takes the students who study the Western percussion instruments in Peiying Primary School Music Orchestra in Haidian District of Beijing as the research object,taking the literature method,observing the practice method,the case study method and the practice summary method as the research method,using the teaching and learning and psychology students Physiological development theory,analysis of students during the study of the situation and problems encountered,thus clarifying the Western percussion instruments and primary and secondary school students’ physical and mental development of the relationship between the promotion of Western percussion instrument education and practice development.This paper is divided into four chapters.The introduction mainly expounds the research origin,meaning,concept definition and research method of this paper.The first chapter is the main historical background of this paper,introduces the development of western percussion instruments in China,and the conventional classification method of western percussion instruments to study the importance of Western percussion instruments.The second chapter mainly introduces the author in the practice stage of Pei Ying primary school students rhythm training methods.The third chapter mainly summarizes the students ’physical and mental characteristics,the students’ practice process and the conclusion after the practice.The fourth chapter summarizes the teaching significance of the western percussion instrument in the primary school music band,and once again expounds the importance of studying the western percussion instruments in the primary school stage.Finally,the author hopes that through the teaching practice activities can provide some rationalization suggestions for the development of the Chinese and Western percussion instruments of the primary school orchestra,so as to make a contribution to the development of the primary school orchestra.
