With the repaid development of ‘MOOC’ education platform and a series of renovating teaching methods such as ‘Micro-lectures’ emerging,education video has become an irreplaceable pillar in studying.With such prevailing trend,the application of video education in more subjects becomes an urgent research topic.Most of the schools in urban area have the capacity for multimedia teaching.Higher education facilities in metro area such as Beijing,Shanghai and Guangzhou have the multimedia technology to match developed countries.With help of technological advancement in internet,standing at the verge of the 17 th year in the 21 st century,we can say not only does art became borderless,but also does in the realm of education.On the premises of renovating teaching methods such as ‘MOOC’ and ‘Micro-lectures’,this essay explores the development and study on video education in stage art creation.Examples are drawn from the Musical Performing Art School at Shanghai Normal University.First,the author analyzes the trend of video instruction by rounding up existing researches domestic and abroad.By summarize the theoretical essence,the author establishes the research methodology and idea.Second,summarize how to emphasize the instruction key points during the making of such video,instead of the commercial factor that comes with it.Analyze the dynamics of instructional factors reacts in the process of learning,with regards to the camera position and framing on a live set,lighting condition and sound recording.Third,use non-linear editing system to infuse and edit audio / video raw footage.Also,explore how to transform stage performance into education elements with assistance of Adobe Premiere.The fourth,establish an education video database,creating a high-quality platform for both instructors and students,better serving the teaching activities.Last but not least,in order to examine the effectiveness of this research,the author will carry out an onsite video instruction and receive feedback from the fellow instructors,thanks to Musical Performing Art School at Shanghai Normal University.A questionnaire will be conducted both pre-and post-lecture,targeting the actual effectiveness from students’ prospective.Then collecting data to further examine the research objective and results.The results are significant.We learned from the data and drew conclusion that the majority of instructor and students speak highly of the application of stage art video in teaching.It serves both as an instructional aid and enlightenment.
