Art education is a kind of aesthetic education.However,in the actual practice of the kindergarten education and teaching,due to the children's own lack of experience,family environment without enough conditions,teachers' low professional fine arts,young children's aesthetic ability development may be affected.Therefore,how to cultivate and improve their aesthetic ability,become a problem that teachers have to think about and solve it in the teaching of fine arts.Considering some picture books' paintings have a strong aesthetic significance,this research tries applying picture books to the children art appreciation activities,in order to explore this appreciate art activities have an effect on the middle shift children's aesthetic ability.In this research,according to the Children Aesthetic Psychological Process Theory of Mrs Tu Mei Ru,children's art appreciation activities with picture books are designed into four procedures: the sense of appreciation,discussion,children's creation and peer review.This research mainly uses the education experimental method,observational method,and works analysis method to verify that children's art appreciation activities with picture books effect the kindergarten middle shift class children's aesthetic ability.This study chooses 60 children from Shanghai Y Kindergarten as the research object,and devides them into experimental group and control group,each with 30 children.In the experimental group,the 30 children take part in children's art appreciation activities with picture books,while the control group children carry out regular theme-based art activities,through the three months' teaching experiment verifying that children's art appreciation activities with picture books effect on the kindergarten middle shift class children's aesthetic ability.This research draws the following conclusions:1.Children's art appreciation activities with picture books can improve the kindergarten middle shift class children's aesthetic ability effectively,with specific performance in five dimensions: the aesthetic perception,aesthetic comprehension,aesthetic emotion ability,aesthetic imagination and aesthetic creation ability;2.Higher aesthetic interest in picture books,teaching psychological environment,and children's own traits of character,all have positive impacts on the kindergarten middle shift class children's aesthetic ability.This research throws out four suggestions about how to improve the kindergarten middle shift class children's aesthetic ability in art appreciation activities with picture books :1.Choose the suitable picture books' paintings to motivate children's interest to art activities;2.Draw this art appreciate activities with picture books in kindergarten theme-based teaching;3.If the forms and materials of art activities match the style of picture books' paintings,it would be better;4.The administrative managemant provides necessary support is very important.
