Currently,scientific inquiry activities have been becoming an important way of learning in scientific disciplines.When students experience the process of inquiry,they can not only acquire knowledge,develop skills,but also improve the way of thinking,the spirit of exploring and identifying,and enhance critical thinking skills,cultivate innovative consciousness.Scientific inquiry micro-activities have the function of fully expanding the exploration of each step and element.In this research,we tried to sort out the courses materials of Science and Life Science of grade 6-9,and organized and developed the teaching contents and activities which are suitable for students to carry out scientific inquiry micro activities.By classifying and improving them based on the element,the level,the grade of inquiry activities,we made them suitable to gradually develope students' critical thinking.And in this process,we have organized and summarized the teaching strategies and methods suitable for students to develope their critical thinking,and we have provided reasonable suggestions for curriculum teaching.We mainly used action study method,case study method,literature study method,experience summary method and so on.The CCTDI(California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory,i.e.California Critical Thinking Tendency Questionnaire)was adopted to test the students in grade 6,grade 7,and grade 8 in the Experimental School of The High School Affiliated to Shanghai University,The students were measured from the seven facets of critical thinking.These are finding truth,opening thinking,analytical ability,systematic ability,self-confidence of critical thinking,curiosity and cognitive maturity.Our practice has proved that the development of micro-activities of scientific inquiry has further improved and enriched the contents and organizing ways of the current science disciplines' teaching.The students' curiosity,spirit of exploring,problems consciousness and ability of practicing have been stimulated and enhanced by teacher's encouraging,guiding and enlightening them in this process.And the students can also draw conclusions carefully.The students' critical thinking has been nurtured,spawned and cultivated in the process...
