Cultivating the modern citizen’s necessary geographic literacy is one of the core ideas of high school new geography curriculum reform in our country, and the cultivation of the geographic literacy requires unique geographical perspective to understand and discover the geography things and phenomena around us. As to the cultivation of geographic literacy, the Ecological and spatial perspective are considered to be two basic aspects of it. From the ecological perspective of geography, it treats the interaction and the relationship of human activities and geographical environment as one of the aspects of the world’s observation and analysis and one of the thinking ways of problem solving, which includes sustainable development view, adjust measures to local conditions, people to coordinate, etc. In the teaching of high school geography, strengthening students’ ecological perspective can help students recognize people relationship correctly and form sustainable development thoughts.In this paper, I adopted literature research method and questionnaire survey method,and collected relevant literature to understand the situation and existing problems in the current cultivation of geographic literacy, then I putted forward the corresponding measures after a thorough analysis. There are mainly includes five parts:The first part is introduction, which introduces the research’s background, purpose,significance, research status at home and abroad and the research methods.The second part is about the concepts defined of the geographic literacy and ecological perspective.The third part, based on the ecological perspective, is about investigating the high school geographic literacy condition and analyzing the existing problems in the aspects of school, teacher, curriculum design, teaching evaluation and parent.The fourth part mainly about the feasibility strategy for high school geographic literacy cultivation based on the ecological perspective in view of the problems found,during the investigation. Then I putted forward to further improving the geographic literacy, enriching geographical teaching process, perfecting geographic evaluation system and getting the help of adults, etc.The fifth part about the high school geographic literacy training case teaching design which is based on the ecological perspective.The sixth part is the conclusion of this study, and I pointed out some problems of this study.
