Objective: The aim of this study is to discuss the effect of plank under different conditions on the muscle oxygen of the superficial layer of core muscles. There were21 subjects of 20-25 years old,who would hold a 2-minute plank under stable, upper unstable and lower unstable conditions, while the oxyhemoglobin, deoxyhemoglobin and total hemoglobin were monitored through a near-infrared spectroscopy.Method: 21 male university students were chosen to hold a plank position for 2minutes under stable(Action?),lower unstable(Action?) and upper unstable(Action?) conditions, while the oxyhemoglobin, deoxyhemoglobin and total hemoglobin of the rectus abdominis, external oblique, erector spinae, gluteus maximus were monitored through a near-infrared spectroscopy.Result: A t-test was used to examine the muscle oxygen differences in stable and unstable plank and in different core muscles under the same plank. A two-way ANOVA was used to analysis the muscle performance and NIRS data. Results were considered to be significant at an ? level of 0.05. Statistical analyses were performed using SPSS 20.0.(1) There was a significance in NIRS data(Hb O2?HHb?t Hb) between stable and unstable plank(P < 0.01). The change of muscle oxygen was found biggest in rectus abdominis in all kinds of planks, meanwhile, there was a same decreasing trend in change of the NIRS data of different actions, that is Action?>Action?>Action?.(2) A significance was found between NIRS data and different actions, muscles and actions*muscles(P < 0.01). The result of LSD post hoc test showed a significance in NIRS data of different planks(P < 0.05) and of different muscles in the same plank(P<0.05).(3) The target muscle Hb O2 average are compared to the rectus muscle >vertical ridge glutes > the external oblique muscle; The rectus Hb O2 averages,Action?and ? were greater than?, the external oblique muscle Hb O2 average in action(upper unsteady)? is the biggest, glutes Hb O2 average in action ?(lower unstable)is the largest;(4) In three movements, considered average compared to target muscle t Hb:action?and action ? considered average, are vertical rectus > the external oblique muscle > glutes. In action ?(lower limb unsteady conditions) considered as the rectus muscle > vertical ridge glutes > the external oblique muscle; The rectus considered t Hb average in action in ? or ? under the condition of unsteady is bigger, the external oblique muscle, the t Hb mean considered the action the(upper unsteady), the biggest glutes considered average in action ? or ? under the condition of unsteady larger;(5) In the three HHb mean comparison: the rectus abdominal external oblique muscle > vertical spinal muscular > glutes; The rectus HHb average in action in ?or ? under the condition of unsteady is bigger, the external oblique muscle HHb averages, action ? > action ? > action ?; Glutes HHb averages, action? > action? > action?, a vertical spinal muscular HHb mean difference in three movements. Conclusion :(1) The change of muscle oxygen was found biggest in rectus abdominis compared with other muscles under stable and unstable planks, which indicated that the rectus abdominis can be trained better in plank.(2) A bigger change of muscle oxygen of core muscles was found in unstable planks when compared with stable one, which showed that it is more effective in strengthen the core muscles in unstable planks.(3) In a view of general effect of unstable planks on muscle oxygen of core muscles, a bigger change of muscle oxygen of core muscles was found in upper unstable plank when compared with the lower unstable.(4) When focusing on the single action, it is most effective in muscle oxygen of external oblique under upper unstable plank and the same in gluteus maximus under lower unstable plank. In a result, the external oblique would be trained better in upper unstable plank and the same in gluteus maximus under lower unstable plank.
