The Visual Search Feature Of The Tennis Referee During The Expected Landing Judgment

Impersonality and accuracy should be insisted during judging in a sport competition for a referee. If you want to be a professional umpire, carefully watching is to be needed. In a tennis competition, as the scene continuously changing,referees need to get information through the observation of two eyes and pass it to the brain central nervous system, and processing, then quickly to make out a mostly accurate judgment. As the spot player usually uncertainly and quickly moving in many different ways, in order to raise the percentage of judgment quickly and accurately, the spot referee must be have high prediction in an every emergent circumstance. Therefore, broad sight, high ability in prediction and estimation are the basics for a professional referee, who can run through the competition and let the rules under control perfectly.This article use Eye Movement technology to inspect the different version searching of each referee in the different levels of duty awareness through playing different tennis single competition videos in pause. There are 12 testees in this experimentation, and 6 testees will be as a professional group which are come from local school tennis specialism(Serve as Grade One in Director Classification),another 6s will be as a novice team(Serve as Grade Three in Director Classification).Using visual searching mode to record and acquire the testees response and the percentage of accuracy, then analyses and discuss the eyes moving information through eyes searching diversity of the testees from the video paused when the ball becoming dead ball, the rackets striking the ball and the ball in the one second where is straight above at the court. Judging the landed ball in line or out of line when testees in the video paused is the result of this experimentation.The Study of Results are as following:(1)On the reaction time and accuracy, stop frame when the time for the ball and1/2 pitch, the panel's reaction time and accuracy are better than novice group speed and accurate, and illustrates the panel under this frame points two time effective information can quickly search for their decisions, has a good ability to foresee, thus more accurate judgment. In the frame time for tennis is directly above, the reaction time and accuracy between the two groups had no difference was not significant.(2)With in the area of interest at the time, stop time frame for the ball, 1/2 and directly above the net when, expert and novice group there are significant differences,the panel at the time are better than novice group leader of interest area, making stops at three different time frames point under the panel can allocate more time to play thetwo athletes, judging from two athletes to obtain more information, while only a small portion of the novice group time distribution in the pitch of two athletes, more time allocation and tracking the ball has nothing to do on the pitch area.(3)The number of fixations and interest area percentage point from the interest area watching the results of the analysis can be found, In three different time frames stop point, the two groups are interested in the test area between the fixation point and the number of regions of interest fixation percentages there are significant differences,Group of Experts percentage of two athletes and the number of fixations gazing point game field was significantly higher than the novice group, description expert group observed more carefully than the novice group field two athletes, to extract more useful information from the athletes body, and machining.(4)By analyzing the gaze trajectories, expert group found that the fixation point between the group and the novice very different trajectories.
