The school plays an important role for the young children's life, which takes responsibility for inheriting knowledge and cultivating personality;however the school adjustment for children has always been an important subject in the psychology and pedagogy. With the changing of time, more and more rural migrant workers look for the jobs in the city and in order to guarantee their children's compulsory education, the government introduced various policies that are related to the education fairness and compulsory education.Under these policies, the ration of those children study in the local schools has been increased significantly.Under this situation, those children's adjustment to the city primary schools has become a hot issue. To the teachers and schools that serve the children of rural migrant workers, the challenge they face is that how to make rural migrant workers' children adapt to the urban primary schools faster and better. For me,working for such a school,I encounter the same confusion as well. The purpose of selecting this subject is to understand the situation of the adaption for rural migrant workers' children in the urban primary schools which mainly consist of those workers' descendants and analysis the reason of inadaptation of migrant children in those schools,at last, propose solutions and constructive suggestions to the issue for those children, teachers and parents. This study is based on the questionnaire survey and interviews, according to the analysis to the rural migrant workers' children in urban primary schools, founds the following problems:1.Overall,the migrant workers' children in the urban primary school's adjustment level is low in assertiveness and task orientation;2.The difference of school adjustment level for migrant workers' children on individual factors: Boys adaptation level was lower than that of girls, fifth grade migrant worker children's adaptation level is lower than the sixth grade,no preschool education experience of migrant children is lower than that of the preschool education experience, the lack of good learning attitude and method of migrant children have the lower levels, poor self?identity, strong inferiority feeling's migrant children's adjustment level is lower.3.The difference of school adjustment level for migrant workers' children on environmental factors: the migrant workers' children school adjustment level is lower in parents with a low educational level, the migrant workers' children school adjustment level is lower when these mother did not work, the migrant workers' children school adjustment level is lower in low family economic, the migrant workers' children whose parents neglect discipline have low level in the school adjustment;Parents who have less communication with children and teachers are difficult in the migrant workers' children school adjustment;the migrant workers' children who do busy housework and take care of the brothers and sisters in spare time has lower school adjustment level than those who spend spare time on study, those who has been in the urban school as a short time is more difficult to adapt than those who has been in for a long time, the migrant workers' children is less adaptable ingreater teaching(course)and teachers' teaching method differences, those migrant workers' children whose teachers are less concerned about have low adjustment level. To solve the above problems,I propose the following viewpoints to improve adjustment level of rural migrant children in urban primary schools from three aspects of school, family and society: 1.Take the school as the main position, improve adjustment level of rural migrant children in city elementary school;2.Supplemented by family education, which cooperating with school,it will promote the rural migrant children school adjustment;3.Take use of social security mechanisms to strengthen urban primary school children to work in urban schools to adapt.
