In today’s education, the idea of life is getting more and more attention from all sides. The idea of life is very important in teaching. It is in line with the concept of the new curriculum reform. It conforms to the requirements of the high school biology curriculum standard. It is the needs of the development of students. The secondary high school biology learning materials are the carriers of the idea of life. They can combine the secondary high school biology course content and the student’s life. The secondary high school biology learning materials under the idea of life provide life-related learning materials for high school students. And the learning materials meet the needs of the development of student. Therefore, I choose the idea of life as a guide to explore the secondary high school biology learning materials.I use the literature to analyze relevant information, and put forward theory and construction principles of secondary high school biology learning materials. I design the learning materials by case analysis method. And I choose the example of "the structure and functioning of ecosystems".Finally, I have a simple assessment of the learning materials through interviews.This paper is divided into seven parts. The first part is an introduction, including research background, research methods and research significance. The second part is the research summary. In this part, I introduce the research status of learning materials and the idea of life.The third part is the theoretical basis. In this part, I define learning materials and idea of life. The main theory of this study is the humanistic learning theory, constructivist learning theory, life education theory, STS education theory. The fourth part is the construction principles of learning materials. In this part, I discuss the construction principles of learning materials from six aspects.The fifth part is case analysis. I analyze "the structure and functioning of ecosystems" as an example. In this part, I design a complete learning material. The sixth part is evaluation and recommendation. Through interviewing with teachers and high school students, I have a simple evaluation of learning materials and put forward feasible suggestions. The seventh part is the conclusion, including conclusions, innovations and inadequate follow-up and outlook studies that exist in the study.Through research, I can draw some conclusions. The idea of life provides a new way for the construction of the secondary high school biology learning materials. It is helpful to raisestudents’ interest in learning biology. It is advantageous to the ability of the student life.Therefore, this issue deserves further study.
