A new round of reform in basic education has begun in the beginning of this century, whose core is the curriculum reform which puts an emphasis on the textbook. With the deepening of the reform, different versions of textbook of ideological and moral education are springing up under the guidance of the new curriculum standard, forming a great situation of “a hundred flowers blossom and a hundred schools of thought contend”.Though textbook of ideological and moral education are verified and written by people from different areas under the guidance of new curriculum standard, they are consistent on the main direction. At the same time, due to the differences in the textbook writing group and the regional disparity in teaching characteristics, different versions of textbooks demonstrate their own characteristics. Therefore, the respective advantages of the various versions of textbooks, which could be found through the comparative study of these materials, could be fully absorbed in the later textbook writing, presented in the same one book and could improve its writing.The writing of the textbook is always more or less influenced by the writers' subjective consciousness such as philosophy, view of society and curriculum outlook. Therefore, the existing problems could be found through the comparative study of the textbooks, which would lead to a way to the improvement and a good reference of textbook writing.The author has made a serious reading and comparison of the textbook of ideological and moral education published by People's Education Press and Shandong People Press, and has consulted a great number of relevant documentation. Using documentary analysis, textual analysis, naive pooled data analysis, induction and other methods, the author makes a comparative study of the two versions of text materials. The main structure of this thesis is as follows:First of all, a comparative study of both the new and the old version of curriculum standard, "ideological and moral course standard of full-time compulsory education in junior middle school(experiment draft)" and " "ideological and moral course standard of full-time compulsory education in junior middle school(revised in 2011)", has been made, including the comparison in preface, course objectives, content standards, implementation requirements and suggestion.Secondly, a comparison has been made between the two versions of textbooks, including the comparison in teaching content, content rendering and expression, and also in the presentation of the curriculum standard in the teaching materials.Thirdly, the existing problems in the two different versions have been concluded and the author's own suggestion has been given. The existing problems are: the emphasis of some individual knowledge points are not enough, the setting of some content are not in accordance of the students' cognitive rules, the setting of some columns are inappropriate, the choice of materials are outdated, urbanized, utilitarian. The suggestions putting forward are : fully investigating difficult knowledge points, giving a appropriate emphasis; thinking in the students' way, respecting students' cognitive rules; sticking to the coexistence of various versions, realizing the integration and optimization of column setting; Attaching great importance to the material's times, diversity and guidance.
