Objective: Impulsivity is a multidimensional construct which influence on the substance addiction behavior of female drug addicts.Questionnaires, laboratory behavioral assessments and qualitative interviews were used to understand different dimensions of impulsivity and to provide evidence for impulsivity effects on drug addiction. Methods: In Study 1,to study the differences and relationships of impulsivity, cognitive flexibility and emotion regulation between drug addicts and health human, questionnaires are conducted on 396 drug addicts in Shanghai women's detoxification center and 242 students from Shanghai Normal University.Using the questionnaire: Barratt Impulsiveness Scale(BIS-11),Emotion Regulation Questionnaire(ERQ),Cognitive Flexibility Inventory(CFI).Using independent samples t test to examine the differences of impulsive traits, emotion regulation, cognitive flexibility between college students and female addicts.Pearson correlation analysis were used to discuss the relationship of impulsive traits, emotion regulation, cognitive flexibility among 396 drug addicts. In Study two,42 college students and 43 drug addicts were asked to finish Trail Making Test(TMT)and Stroop test to measure cognitive flexibility and impulsivity, and explore the difference of impulsive trait and cognitive flexibility between college students and female drug addicts from behavioral measure. Results: in the first study,(1)the impulsive total score in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the normal group(p<0.0001),and the score of the inhibition strategy in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the normal group(p<0.01).The total score of cognitive flexibility in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the normal group(p<0.01).(2)there was a significant negative correlation between impulsivity and cognitive flexibility in female drug addicts(p<0.01),the higher the individual impulsivity, the worse the cognitive flexibility. There was a significant negative correlation between impulsiveness and emotional cognitive reassessment. There is a significant positive correlation between emotional and emotional regulation and cognitive flexibility.Study two,(1)the reaction time of the test group was significantly slower than that of the normal group;(2)the reaction of Stroop in the experimental group was significantly slower than that in the normal group.Conclusion:(1)drug addicts have high impulsiveness;(2)the age of onset of drug addiction is closely related to impulsivity;(3)the severity of impaired inhibition is one of the most important indicators of substance addiction.;(4)the cognitive flexibility of drug addicts is impaired.
