The thesis reinterprets the 19th-century salon piano music from the perspective of feminism,and combines the research results of social history and cultural history,and analyzes the music ontology for exploring the female factors systematically in the Salon piano musical genre to provide a new perspective for the research of salon music.In addition,this thesis put forward my own opinions on the questioning of feminist music criticism of academic circles.This thesis is divided into 4 chapters.Chapter 1 introduces the birth and development of feminist music criticism and the main research content of this academic field.Chapter 2 discusses the femininity of the 19 th century salon music,starting from the whole characteristics of the 19 th century music,focusing on the salon,combining the female owner and the middle class women,to conduct a preliminary exploration of the femininityin the salon piano music.Chapter 3 studies the gender factors of piano music genres nocturne,waltz,and rondo respectively.In addition to the analysis of music ontology,it attempts to combine social and cultural backgrounds to explore the connection between genre,aesthetic taste,and gender.Chapter 4 is a reflection on the relationship between culture and music ontology and feminist music criticism methodology.
