“The Status And Development Trend Of Tomatoes” Lectures On The Practice Of Interpretation Between Chinese And English

Based on the practice of a consecutive interpreting task conducted,the thesis aims at putting forward some problems in the Seminar on Ecological Agriculture & Planting Models and Demonstrations of Special Economic Crops for Developing Countries of 2017,and summarizing some possible coping tactics.The thesis consists of four parts.In the first part,it gives an introduction to the background,the objectives and the significance.The second part is pre-interpreting preparation,including knowing the speaker and audience,establishing the glossary and exploiting the use of translation tools and references.The third part focuses on the case analysis.By analyzing,problems are unveiled,namely internal language obstacles and external language obstacles.The internal language obstacles include the interpretation of special economic crop terminology,dialect problems,long sentences memory and spokesman logic invalidity.The external language obstacles include cross-cultural factors and a lack of the subject knowledge.The fourth part summarizes strategies according to the problems found in this interpretation practice.The interpretation strategies of internal language factors are paraphrasing,positive prediction,syntactic linearity and logical reconstruction.The interpretation strategies of external language obstacles are foreignization and strength of the encyclopedic knowledge.At last,the thesis gives an overall summary.From case analysis,it can be seen that the above solutions are of instruction and practice value for consecutive interpreting from Chinese to English.
