"qing" & "zhong" is a pair of one commonly used in modern Chinese antisense adjectives.This paper uses the theory of markup and the principles of cognitive linguistics,Drawing on the previous research results of antisense adjectives.The antonyms of "qing" & "zhong" are examined from the angle of asymmetry and diachronic evolution.This article mainly includes the following three parts:First,inspect the development in synchronic level.The asymmetric phenomenon of "qing" & "zhong" is examined from three aspects of vocabulary,syntax and pragmatics,and its motivation and mechanism are explained.We could explain the possible reason of asymmetries from language itself and the outside.Second,inspect the development in diachronic level.This paper investigates the prototype meaning and extended meaning of "qing" & "zhong" and explores the semantic evolution path of "qing" & "zhong".Then it summarizes the symmetry and asymmetry of "qing" & "zhong" in semantic extension path,semantic extension time and semantic extension speed.Third,the research of related problems.This paper examines the semantic extension path and the semantic evolution time of the word "qing-zhong",and concludes that "qing-zhong" is transformed from "concrete meaning" to "abstract meaning".On the one hand,the formation and evolution of "qing-zhong" has its own factors.on the other hand,it also embodies the common cognitive law of human beings.
