Agatha Christie's Film Work Research

Agatha Christie is known as the world-famous "queen of the detective fiction," she had created a golden age of Euro-American detective fiction,Conan Doyle and Seicho Matsumoto and she were called the three major literary masters of the world.She had created more than 80 detective novels including short stories,some dramas and the pen name as Mary Westmacott for six love stories and so on.As a reasoning novelist and playwright,many of her literary works had been adapted for film and television works,dramas,cartoons or mobile games by many creators of different countries in different times.However,the story background of her works had became more and more far away from our life,the supporter of her biggest fans love various art forms of her works forever,all kinds of artistic forms which are based on her literary works are still updated and welcomed.In recent years,the successive fashion of mystery or reasoning show on the big screen,television,and network or any other media,there are many kinds of film and television works involved in these types.In this thesis,the main object of study is based on the series of the film and television works of Agatha Christie which out of the production of the British ITV,including other versions.Through the study on the interpretation of these film and television texts,according to the related theories of film and television studies,exploring the plot construction,characterization and aesthetic style and features,in order to obtain the reference and inspiration for the similar creations of our own.
