| YuYue was a famous expert of palaeography,Confucian classics,calligrapher and educator in the late Qing Dynasty.His handwriting letter works showing a very unique feature.800 dailyletters writed by YuYue were collected and textual researched by Mr.ZhangYanying,in which there are a lot of content about inscriptions on ancient bronze objects? appraisal of bricks and tiles,the collection and recorded ofinscription rubbings,and also the textual research of ancient Chinese were discussed between YuYue and the gentry,officers,students and friends.These letter words are various in forms,such as the form modelled on Xingjuan of the Tang Dynasty,the Qinjian style and the style with background color of calligraphy,Chinese paintings,and seal words.Many chirography such as regular script,official script,seal character and running script contained in these letters,most of them are running script works,however the letters in which official script and seal character are mixed are the most distinctive ones.The paper was divided into four parts to discuss the relevant issues of YuYue's letters words,especiallythe phenomenon and the cause of the phenomenon of the mix of official script and seal character in YuYue's letter works.Part 1,Inherited from RuanYuan,YuYue was deeply influenced by the Qian?jia School.Part 2,YuYue's epigraphy intercourse and steles searching and rubbing activity.Part 3,The origin and concrete applying in letter works of YuYue's chirography.Part 4,the concept and influence of YuYue's All?beauty calligraphy theory.As a important part of his calligraphy words Yu's letter words have important research value no matter on the content,form,collection,recorded and calligraphy style.Meanwhile this paper attempt to make a reasonable survey and appraise of YuYue's calligraphy thought,and make a better study of the position and influence of YuYue's calligraphy works in the Chinese calligraphy history,through the studying of the relevant issues of his letter works. |
