National Central University Music Education Research (1928-1949)

“National” central university was the best university during the Chinese republican period,which was also considered as the largest university with most completely department set.college of education,national central university art music group(hereinafter referred to as "large music group)was built in 1928,and was forced to close due to the outbreak of the war in 1937.In nearly a decade of development,they followed and promoted from European education system which applied the sol-fa system application to teaching practice.With strong faculty and inelegant education result make its music education history get more considerable research value.In the present research,we explored the historical data of college of education,analyzed the historical development of cuhk music groups,teachers and students,curriculum,teaching practices and so on.The author hope to make an objective evaluation of their achievements during that period.The music group as one of a modern comprehensive colleges and universities,its school-running mode and the historical value will offer a reference for the present education.
