Sheng Dashi is an important artist and literati who lived in mid-Qing Dynasty,during which Qing is rapidly declining.The First Opium War was coming and Qing Regime was slipping down from the peak.Downfall of the empire could be felt at every corner of the country.Curruption is rife and it's hard for talents to get promotion.Sheng struggled in the gloom social atmosphere and tried to pioneer a new aspect for Chinese traditional artist.As a representative artist of post-Loudong School,Sheng is not only an artist,but also poet,literateur and ancient writing scholar.Current studies are focused more on books of Sheng's art theory,especially like Painting on Meditation.People rarely know Sheng's articles,life story and thinking in his corpus,which is disadvantageous for us to fully understand him.The paper deeply studies Sheng Dashi's literature Feeling Pavilion Corpus,carefully combs his important literature works and glosses the corpus,which cultivates base for futher studies on Sheng.The paper overally unveils content of Feeing Pavilion Corpus,and studies his artist thinking and life stories with combinng massive ancient literatures and materials.The papar consist of three parts:Part One generally summarizes Sheng Dashi's lifetime and textual research on ancient editions of Feeling Pavilion Corpus;Part Two deeply studies Sheng's stories with his family and friends,and ideology;Part Three is combed original text and notes of the corpus.The study on Sheng Dashi and his corpus is just a case of Qing artists,but the culture circumstance,art atmosphere and social ideology at the era of Sheng's living can been seen in the study,wich is significant to learning the art history of Qing Dynasty.
